School Bus Driver - With Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities

Milk Education are working exclusively with a secondary alternative provision in Lewisham, Catford who are seeking to appoint a school bus driver, with behaviour mentoring responsibilities. We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible school minibus driver to join our team! As a key part of our school community, you'll be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as transportation and support on trips. Outside of these duties, you will be working with learners within the classroom on a 121 basis, supporting with learning, reintegration into the classroom and emotional regulations

This role is suitable for an experience school bus driver, OR an experienced teaching assistant or behaviour mentor with an understanding of SEMH, EBD and Trauma (and holds a valid license).

Hours: 8:00-16:30

Working days: Monday-Friday, term time only

Key Responsibilities as a School Bus Driver:

  • Safely operate a school minibus on assigned routes.
  • Ensure students are picked up and dropped off on time.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and parents.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines.

Requirements as a School Bus Driver:

  • Valid driving license which allows you to drive an 18 seaters minibus
  • Previous experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A responsible and patient attitude.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
