Assessment OfficerSalary: £28K - £33K12-month FTCImmediate to startHybrid workingAbout the Firm: Our client is a distinguished membership located in East London, seeking an Assessment Officer to become a vital part of their team. This role offers a prime opportunity to assure and improve standards of care for people using pharmacy services.Role Overview: The Assessment Officer supports the Practise Assessment Team to work with a wide range of stakeholders within a fast-paced environment that brings different challenges and opportunities. The Assessment Officers play an important role in helping to achieve a vision of safe and effective care at the heart of healthier communities, they are key decision-makers in determining initial enquiries to assess all concerns. Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role, outstanding communication abilities, and a proactive approach.Main Responsibilities:
  • To make prompt, reasoned and well-informed decisions about whether concerns should be referred for formal investigation, closed or subject to some limited further enquiries.
  • Making sure that concerns referred for investigation are promptly and suitably prepared and that cases not referred for formal investigation are signposted appropriately.  
  • To undertake reasoned risk assessments and use such assessments to inform recommendations for case progression, including the potential need for emergency measures.  
  • Communicating with people who raise concerns.
  • Manage concerns in a timely fashion and within operational policies.
  • Liaise with and respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Carry out such other duties across the Assessment Team as required.
