Business Analyst - Operations (Fixed Term Contract)Location LondonContract Length: 6 Months

About the Role:Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join their Derivatives Front Office Working Group. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the largest change programmes within the organisation, where you will play a crucial role in defining the target operating model for the Front Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Derivatives Front Office to outline the changes occurring on Day 1, focusing on processes, roles, technology, and policies.
  • Develop and document as-is and to-be process flows for key derivatives products, ensuring seamless integration with other departments such as Treasury, Operations, Risk, and Finance.
  • Conduct workshops to gather detailed business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with IT stakeholders to facilitate effective translation into functional requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, addressing risks and progress, and fostering communication across various departments involved in the programme.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree-level education with proven experience in front office transformation or change programmes in investment banking.
  • Strong knowledge of derivatives products and the investment banking trade lifecycle, with the ability to conduct workshops and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of managing multiple tasks while communicating clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
  • Experience in target operating model design, process mapping, and business requirements gathering, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the business impact of system changes.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in front office transformation, ideally through the end-to-end programme lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and other departments.
  • Initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to support project managers as needed.
  • A proactive approach to stakeholder management, ensuring efficient use of SMEs' time while providing them with insights into effective business analysis and change delivery practises.
