I am recruiting a Digital Health Specialist who has excellent knowledge of the health market including the global health landscape to work on an interim basis for 3 months, to undertake an assessment on Digital Health assets and capabilities.

The objective

Healthcare UK, which is part of Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) are undertaking an assessment of digital health assets that may have commercial value. The findings will be presented as a business case report with recommendations, for review by senior UKHSA and Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) officials, to increase the availability of digital health know-how and expertise, which would align with UKHSAs growth agenda and support health protection and enhance income generation.

Potential digital health capabilities and data assets within UKSHA have already been identified which may meet organisational and commercial growth criteria as digital health offers to external partners.

As the Digital Health Specialist you will support with the ongoing project to identify suitable digital health opportunities, the requirements of this project are to:

  1. Co-develop with UKHSA Business Development, Chief Data Officer group and Science Group a digital health report that will assess and rank potential digital health capabilities and assets using UKHSA criteria filters;
  • Audit UKHSA digital health data assets
  • Structure identified assets into capabilities
  • Assign technological, reputational and commercial values to capabilities
  • Options for service delivery
  • Governance and risk management strategy, aligned with UKHSA structure and process
  • Co-presentation of the report to Senior UKHSA and DBT stakeholders
  • Suggested capabilities are to be developed ensuring that they meet UKHSA data strategy, UK Government data policy and legislation.
  1. Document and develop a set of knowledge transfer material that would enable UKHSA to develop further market-relevant digital capability offers

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the project by producing a report that identifies relevant potential UKHSA digital health opportunities, presents evaluative methodology/criteria used to generate digital health offers that are scored/ranked, and recommendations for growth opportunities, in Word format and online or face-to-face presentation to UKHSA and DBT stakeholders
  • Drafting the executive summary which details the work undertaken, the key findings and appendices including raw data such as meeting notes and/or transcripts from engagement with government officials.
  • A set of knowledge transfer material that would enable UKHSA to develop further market-relevant digital capability offers, in Word and PowerPoint format
