Operations Business Analyst

6 month Fixed Term Contract

Location - London

Are you an experienced Operations Business Analyst looking for an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team? Our client, a leading financial organisation, is seeking a contractor to join their Front Office Control team based in London. As an Operations Business Analyst, you will provide crucial support to the cash equity desks, working with traders and stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting cash equity traders/sales traders for UK, Europe, and emerging markets.
  • Providing technical support for the main cash trading system (fidessa).
  • Handling trade allocations/bookings for clients and internal trades.
  • Resolving trade queries and investigating P&L issues.
  • Improving processes and controls to drive efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including compliance and other middle office teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of cash equity products from buy/sell side firm experience.
  • Risk awareness and experience in improving controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg/Reuters and Fidessa.
  • Experience in corporate action and dividend processing.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
