A FANTSTIC OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN TO JOING THE PRICING DEPARTMENT OF A WORLD RENOWNED LAW FIRM

You could be coming from a revenue control background, or an analysis role wthin professional services, or be trained in legal finance, loooking to learn about pricing.

What's important is that you are hungry to learn, understand the partnership business model (consulting, law, accountancy) and enjoy dealing with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the pricing team across the UK, US and EMEA region with all daily functions including:
  • Supporting partners and lawyers with their decision-making on any aspects of pricing
  • Assisting on formal responses to tenders and other opportunities, including tactical pricing support.
  • Support the firm's global pricing approval process
  • Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions - client and matter-based pricing
  • Supporting the design, development and implementation of pricing self-service tools
  • Proactive financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing, better understand expected costs or matter management decisions and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Support the design, development and implementation of matter budgets with Partners and other key stakeholders
  • Build relationships of trust and respect within the firm in order to become a trusted adviser
  • Support the Pricing Team to meet objectives and delivery of its global strategy
Skills required:
  • Appropriate undergraduate/post graduate degree qualification (preferred but not a necessity)
  • Understanding of law firm economics and fee models
  • Experience of working in a financial role in a professional services environment.
  • Extremely numerate and attentive to detail, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence
  • Able to build relationships and influence all levels of seniority
  • Excellent skills across Microsoft products and services (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
  • Experience of using a Financial Practice Management System e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert. (Preferred but not a necessity)
