Consulting and Advisory Lead | Permanent | Remote (ad hoc travel) | £80,000 | London & Portsmouth

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant who has extensive experience in supporting/delivering strategic change, strategic development, and service optimisation. In this role you will be a vital part of helping our client, a large managed service provider, in developing the practice strategy & business plan to meet strategic business goals, work with practice delivery leads to ensure service readiness & service optimisation, and ensuring all quality & profitability related targets are achieved.  

Role Details: 

  • Permanent 
  • Up to £80,000 
  • Remote/Flexible - ad hoc travel to either London and/or Portsmouth (~2 days on-site per month) 

Responsibilities: 

Service Optimisation

  • In-life review of operational services and delivery methodologies (offerings) to identify opportunities for optimisation of managed services, project and consulting services – driving improved customer satisfaction, customer value and internal business revenues.
  • Support RFPs and be able to define support and service requirements, resource profiles as well as provide technical solutions and governance when bidding for new opportunities.
  • Document solutions, technical diagrams, present exec summaries to articulate a clear message to our customers regarding our services and propositions.

Practice Strategy

  • Leads on securing practice relevant insights across customers, domain specialists and industry forums to inform on and subsequently define and implement strategic plans
  • Define and implement the required partner strategy to meet objectives of the practice, and in doing so, align with CTO and Vendor Alliance business objectives.
  • Lead delivery enablement with partners.
  • Practice centric partner enablement/fulfilment.
  • Partnering requirements and enablement for tower GTM propositions.

Leadership of technical resources

  • Leads and manages all technical and consulting staff within the practice
  • Ensure delivery of services and projects to customers is optimal and exceeds expectations
  • Defines nature and quantity of resources required within the practice in context of sales plan
  • Recognised internal expert of technologies within this domain and constantly evolves our capabilities in line with market and industry trends and evolution.  
  • Is familiar with industry standard certifications and ensures the technical teams are fully compliant.

Require Experience/Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of markets, opportunities, and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges..
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus.
  • Ability to translate organisational goals into a clear roadmap for service development, aligning with future needs.
  • A creative mindset to explore new ideas and develop innovative solutions that address customer needs.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and a drive to develop services that deliver a positive user experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in End User support services, as part of the Modern Workplace vision.
