A successful and well established incoming Destination Management Company is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their friendly and busy team in London.

This successful DMC offers comprehensive ground handling services in London and throughout the UK and Ireland for special interest groups, FIT, Conferences and Incentives.

* To acknowledge and qualify all new requests from new leads and existing clients.
* To identify the most suitable products for the client in order to create the most effective and competitive offer.
* To make sure that all offers are sent out in the company standard format and are all entered correctly into the operational System.
* To ensure that your offer reflects what the client wants without compromising on quality of services and price of the offer.
* To ensure that all offers are correctly followed up proactively, following the guidelines received during the training, and according to option deadlines if the offer is based on real space.
* To maintain good relationships with all clients and ensure quotes are prepared accurately and promptly, ensuring that any promises/deadlines that are made to them are kept.
* To take responsibility for placing the groups in the right hotels, based on offer accepted by client, program and quotation, always negotiating under budget where possible, in order to increasing the margin, without compromising on quality.
* To make sure a full end over is done to OPS once the hotel placement is contracted and signed, and in reasonable time for OPS to finalize the remaining services included in the program.
* To constantly update the groups in the system from the quotation side, with all the correct information and services confirmed inserted for the operations team to process, in order to have a correct overview for yourself, Operations and management.
* To research prospective clients suitable to our business model, dividing them by generic touring groups, special interest, educational, series.
* To keep abreast of who our competitors are, who they work with (both clients and suppliers) and what they are offering.
* To deal with complaints and emergencies in a professional manner liaising with the operations colleagues.
* To build relationships with suppliers and ensure that your product knowledge is kept up to date at all times.
* To hold periodically an emergency phone during the weekend, accordingly to your department rota.
* To organize and participate in any familiarization trips that need to take place in order to win or facilitate a booking.
