Reporting to the Head of Business Acceptance, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team of analysts, supporting the firm in navigating regulatory obligations and professional conduct requirements.This role will be particularly suited to someone who thrives in a detail-focused, analytical role and enjoys problem-solving within a fast-paced legal environment.Key Responsibilities• Conducting conflict searches to identify and resolve potential issues, escalating when necessary.• Performing client due diligence (CDD) checks, verifying client identities, and assessing ownership structures to determine AML and sanctions risks.• Screening for politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions concerns, and other high-risk indicators.• Assessing legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with new business.• Supporting the finance team on client account queries.• Providing practical advice to fee-earners on AML and CDD compliance requirements.• Assisting with risk training for new joiners and supporting wider compliance initiatives.• Helping to develop and improve risk management processes and systems, including maintaining conflicts databases.This role would suit an AML & Conflicts Analyst with at least one year of experience in a law firm or professional services environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong technical knowledge of AML regulations, including the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, POCA, and LSAG Guidance.
- Familiarity with SRA’s Codes of Conduct, particularly in relation to conflicts and confidentiality.
- Experience working with Intapp Open (preferred but not essential).
- A commercially aware and solutions-driven approach to risk management.
- The ability to communicate confidently with lawyers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex client structures.
