A Japanese financial institute based in the City of London, is currently looking for a Japanese-speaking Strategic Planning Group Associate to join the team.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Front Offices, Control and Support functions of the Bank to enhance/implement business strategies and follow up with management on issues identified.
You will also coordinate with senior management, other departments and offices, and their Head office as necessary.
Business level fluency in Japanese is required for this role.
TYPE: Temporary, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: £175 per day, inclusive of 25 days' holiday pay (up to £39k level), depending on experience
START: As soon as possible (TBC)
LOCATION: London (Currently Hybrid working style)
RESPONSIBILITY:
• Assist the Head of Strategic Planning Group in carrying out certain activities related to strategic matters and collaboration within EMEA Division
• Handle third party management. Such as initiating KPI monitoring of Service Level Agreement with group companies, cyclical review of SLAs, updating/revising SLAs or other agreements and communicate/advise people who are starting a new SLA
• Create/Review various reports and submitting them to management within required time frame
• Support regular reporting to senior management and committees- e.g. helping to draft periodic reporting, board updates
• Supporting management of irregular incidents, monitoring on the internal/external auditors requests and recommendation
• Assisting the team when dealing with matters in relation to Japanese FSA, PRA, FCA, and other regulatory authorities in EMEA
• Coordinate well with stakeholders in other teams and departments including Tokyo Head Office
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Basic understanding of corporate and investment banking with a keen interest in the financial industry
• Business level fluency in both Japanese and English
• Strong communication skill (verbal and written)
• Microsoft Office 365 suite: strong Excel and PowerPoint capability
• Ability to present professionally in small groups and participate in meetings in person if required
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and work under pressure
• Confident interpersonal skills
