Rev & Regs are recruiting for a Risk Manager for a large multinational Wealth Management company.

In this role you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing key activities within the Risk function. You will act as the central point of coordination within the department to ensure that all aspects of governance, risk management, risk policies, risk and issues reporting, and management information are completed in line with the agreed risk plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and Business Unit Risk Manager for interactions with the group and the Risk team.
  • Coordinate all key risk-related activities within the risk function.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure effective risk management processes.
  • Support the Group Chief Risk Officer in producing governance reports.
  • Lead and enhance risk management information, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), analytics, and reports in collaboration with the team.
  • Line management responsibilities for the Risk Analyst role.
  • Identify, manage, report, and escalate emerging or existing risks and issues.
  • Oversee the review and resolution of incidents and issues across the business.
  • Coordinate the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) programme and maintain the top risk register.
  • Ensure robust oversight of the first line of defence (1LOD) control testing framework.
  • Facilitate the production of root cause analysis reports and analyse data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline risk processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in the support and development of the Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment Process (ICARA) and the Liquidity Management Framework, including facilitating scenario and stress testing workshops.
  • Contribute to stress testing and scenario analysis, as well as wind-down plans.

Experience:

  • Proven writing and verbal communication skills that enable understanding of complex information.
  • Good understanding of risk management and an excellent grasp of the tools and techniques of risk management.
  • Knowledge or some exposure to the Prudential regulations and ICAAP/ICARA processes is desirable.
  • Familiarity with planning and implementing risk reviews at all levels to ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimise potential impacts to the business.
  • High level of technological awareness and familiarity with risk management systems, data analytics tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Analytically minded, with a passion for analysing data and presenting recommendations and conclusions in a concise, usable manner.
  • Comfortable presenting to internal audiences, including at Executive and Board levels.

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in City of London office)
