Are you an experienced Cleaning Manager seeking a challenging yet rewarding role within the commercial cleaning sector? This is a great opportunity for you.

Join Zing, a reputable company with over 20 years of expertise in commercial cleaning across London. We are rapidly expanding and are in search of a dynamic Area Manager to lead our teams to success.

In this role, you'll oversee cleaning operations within the M25, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations. With a focus on the Corporate and Education sectors, as well as Managing Agents and Housing Associations, you'll play a pivotal role in managing 100 commercial cleaning staff across 40 sites.

OTE: £44,225 per annum

Basic: £34,000 per annum

Other Benefits: Loyalty, recommendation, and referral bonuses

Candidates must have:

  • Managerial experience
  • Full Clean UK Driving licence
  • Good IT skills (SAP, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications)
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, and other languages advantageous)
  • Clean DBS records
  • Proven track record in the cleaning industry
  • A good understanding of the cleaning industry
  • Organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and solve problems
  • Good team-building skills
  • Customer focus

Main duties and responsibilities - In this role, you will:
  • manage cleaning employees' work performance and ensure that team behaviour reflects Zing values
  • recruit staff in conjunction with the HR team and in line with the company policy and fair recruitment practices,
  • provide effective and ongoing support and training to staff,
  • motivate the team to deliver excellent service and always presenting a professional image.
  • manage employee wages and submit wages to payroll by tight deadlines to ensure that employees are paid on time,
  • implement changes on contracts,
  • manage customer complaints and retrain staff as required,
  • build and maintain positive and professional relationships with customers,
  • deliver quarterly retention and customer monitoring targets, and maintain minimum 98% GP Margin,
  • manage contract budgets and submit site visit reports within agreed time frames,
  • manage stock levels and purchase equipment, materials, and consumables to ensure a complete service delivery,
  • liaise with the facilities team support to ensure that the initial contract set-up is complete to the satisfaction of the client,
  • ensure compliance with legislation, health, and safety regulations and both company and client specification.

Holidays:20 days per annum + Bank Holidays

Working Hours:Flexible hours up to 48 per week and a minimum of 85 hours per month on site (travelling time is not included)
