FABER in HAMMERSMITH is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team.

Faber is a coastal inspired restaurant in the heart of West London, we have a strong focus on fresh, creative cooking and personality focussed service.

The restaurant specialises in using the finest seafood caught on the British coastline in order to create a unique and beautiful dining experience. The recently renovated building has made a statement in the Hammersmith restaurant scene.

We have won two restaurant awards in our first year trading and are looking for an assistant general manager that is keen to be part of more awards to come!

We are striving for excellence and want people to come on board that are eager to really get involved, lead a FOH team to exemplary, highest quality service and help get Faber noticed on the restaurant scene.

We are an independent business with a small, but experienced team who have been working together for a long time. So you will have lots support and experience surrounding you.

Our focus is on serving the best fish & shellfish that we can source from our suppliers across Britain.
This means that we can always have a fresh and seasonal menu, that is constantly changing, but never too big.

We have a strong bar team, who make some amazing cocktails, these are kept as seasonal as the food menu. There is a lot of opportunity to get your own cocktails on the seasonal cocktail list - 100% of our cocktails are created by our in house team.

We are looking for that person who can drive the team forward with energy and creativity.
We have a positive working environment, this is infectious and something that is at the core of our values.

You will be working with the owner of the business and general manager on a day to day basis.
No one works more than 45 hours. We want you to be fresh and look forward to coming to work.

The successful applicant will;
  • Have previous management experience in a busy, food led environment
  • Be able to coach a small team to impeccable service, incorporating fun and personality to service
  • Have some experience in management duties such as labour control, h&s, training and open table
  • Have the ability to deliver high standards consistently
  • Have great communication and organisation skills
  • Have the ability to closely work with the management team
  • Have high standards of health and hygiene
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about their job
  • Be a great team player
