General Manager - Remote Role

Main responsibilities for the General Manager:

As a General Manager you will have overall responsibility for operational delivery including sales, marketing and vendor management, reporting to the Groups Managing Director.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor organisational performance and report to the board on progress against strategic goals.
  • Provide effective operational support and project management for projects/activities undertaken by the members of the Group.
  • Lead and manage teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide regular reports to the Group Executive including (but not limited to) staffing; financial and sales updates; training; and security. Additional ad-hoc reports may also be requested by the Managing Director or Board.
  • Work closely with Board Members to lead the development of the network’s operational processes and implementation of an agreement across all participating stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relations with stakeholders by acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Ensure that any pricing, IP or other contractual negotiations take place in a timely manner between those participating in a collaboration projects.
  • Establish and maintain the groups relationship with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Achieve business performance objectives, balancing short-term and long-term targets, emphasising effective management systems that prevent over-reliance on individuals.
  • Adhere to company rules and Health and Safety requirements.

Main Requirements for the General Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 year’s previous experience in a managerial role ideally within IT sector
  • Degree Education / Professional certifications, are highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss drivers and risk management.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude in approaching challenging situations.
  • Outgoing and confident personality with friendly manner and good sense of humour.
