Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for delivering transformational projects? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Parking Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving forward an ambitious programme of improvements in Parking Services.

About the Role:

As the Parking Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a range of complex and strategically significant projects to transform parking services. Your role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging with various stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You will work closely with senior management, service managers, IT, HR, and finance colleagues, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. Your role will also include identifying and managing risks, negotiating with suppliers, and leading project communications to maximise understanding and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, management, and delivery of complex parking services projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve agreed project outcomes, allocate resources, and maintain a consistent approach to project delivery.
  • Engage with senior officers, service managers, and other stakeholders to influence and negotiate effectively for successful project implementation.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communications and engagement plans for internal and external partners.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective project governance.
  • Promote best practices in project management and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing and delivering complex change projects, ideally within a parking or public service environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of innovative approaches to service transformation and the ability to apply these practically.
