This professional membership organisation is recruiting an interim Facilities Assistant, a varied blend of front-of-house, building maintenance, and office support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Assistant:
- Welcome visitors arriving onsite and act as the first point of contact for all staff and students regarding events taking place in the building, assisting with related administration.
- Coordinate room bookings for meetings, assisting with any audio/visual equipment.
- Manage courier collections and deliveries, and oversee other post responsibilities.
- Monitor and maintain campus safety by providing secure access for students, staff, and visitors, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
- Contribute to upkeep of building, alerting team members to any safety issues and implementing health and safety protocols.
- Assist with office moves and furniture setups, supporting office staff with any requests.
- Ad-hoc administrative duties.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in facilities or front-of-house role, working with minimal supervision.
- Experience with face-to-face customer interaction in a busy environment, excellent communication skills, and previous switchboard experience an advantage.
- The ability to prioritise tasks with strong time management and organisation skills.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Details:
- c£16 per hour.
- Temporary position with an immediate start and lasting for 4 weeks in the first place.
- Based in Central London.
- Hours are on a two-week rotational shift basis - 7:00am-3:00pm or 10:30am-6:30pm - and cover on weekends, as needed.
