Head of Facilities - £47- 49k DOE

Onsite 08:30-17:30

Wise May are looking for a Head of Facilities to join our client, a media school based in the heart of the West End.

Duties to include:

  • Lead on facilities matters
  • Working closely with the COO and project team as applicable, lead on the establishment and consolidation of the new location for the School
  • Maintains the facilities infrastructure and work environment required to deliver its obligations to students, staff and visitors
  • Build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally, communicating professionally and effectively at all times
  • Maintain a full front of house service including switchboard, visitor liaison, deliveries, collections and post, etc
  • Take accountability for and ensure value for money in the procurement of goods and services, in support of the Facilities service
  • Oversee health and safety and environmental matters for all sites, including (where applicable) third party off-site provision
  • Assist the Chair of the termly Health & Safety Committee, including overseeing the preparation of papers and taking ownership of the committee’s action plans
  • Review, procure and manage all third-party contracts relating to facilities (e.g. cleaning, security, CCTV, fire alarms, routine and reactive maintenance, all insurances, etc)

Skills:

  • Extensive experience working in facilities management, preferably in an educational or film-making environment
  • Experience and familiarity with film, television or adjacent screen production environments in a professional or educational setting
  • Ability to manage and respond to customer issues proactively through to resolution in a positive and diplomatic manner

  • Experience of leading major relocation projects preferably in an educational setting
  • Forward-looking and abreast of current and future thinking in facilities management
