MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

  • Temp Role for 3 months with the option to lead to perm 
  • Location: Walthamstow E17  areas of work are E17, E11, E10, E4, you will be required 1 day a week in the Pitsea office for planning meetings
  • £19.00 per hour PAYE or £23.66 per hour Umbrella
  • Van and Fuel card provided 
  • 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 

We are seeking to recruit a Supervisor based in the Walthamstow office to cover E17, E11, E10, E4. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Team which provides in house repairs and maintenance service companywide, involving over 200 people focused on delivering repairs and planned improvements to more than 26,000 homes. You will be covering a team of multi traders including electricians, wet trades, plumbing, carpenters and more. 

This role will require you to be responsible for the supervision of a team of operatives, ensuring that the services provided are in line with the KPIs and set strategy. Being fully compliant with legislative, regulatory, contractual, budgetary and policy constraints. You will ensure work complies with current statutory and non-statutory legislation, adhering to our SHE system and ensuring that Gas safe and EIC / NIC membership and compliance are maintained.

You must possess.

  • Proven ability to manage Health and Safety implications when putting people to work (e.g. Asbestos, Working at Height and Manual Handling). Able to maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to health in accordance with our Safety, Health and Environment policy
  • Previous experience of working within a customer service environment
  • Experience in delivering a quality repairs service in a partnership working environment
  • High level of technical knowledge and diagnosis skills in a housing maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of SHE regulations including CDM, Asbestos and all other regulations relating to the delivery of building maintenance work
  • Ability to communicate in both verbal and written form
  • Able to manage problems and identify solutions
  • Able to use IT systems, databases, and Microsoft office
  • Able to stay calm under pressure
  • Able to work as part of a team and self-motivated
  • Access to a vehicle for business use and a full driving licence
  • Proven trade background and qualifications, such as NVQ/City and Guilds apprenticeship Site Safety Management Training Scheme
  • Institute of Leadership and Management qualification / demonstrable supervisory experience
  • Experience of using database systems (Northgate Housing Management System / Dynamic Resource System)
  • To work flexible working patterns as agreed by management
