Your new companyOur client are a world-renowned specialist higher education provider with a prestigious campus in London. They are hiring an Estates Technical Services Manager on a permanent basis in London. Your new roleAs Estates Technical Services Manager you will lead on hard services delivery for the grade-listed university campus through a small in-house team as well as specialist service providers. Key duties will include:
- Line management of small in-house maintenance team
- Management of 3rd party service providers
- Strategic planning for maintenance and minor refurb of the campus
- Communicating with multiple key stakeholders and board groups
- Ensuring an efficient and working campus that houses high-profile tutors and VIPs
- Management of day-to-day repairs and PPMs
- Liaising with projects team and supporting on minor refurbishments
What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in managing technical services and maintenance for a large commercial site, ideally within the public sector or higher education. You will also require:
- Technical qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical etc.)
- Line management experience
- Experience in managing external FM service providers
- Operational and strategic experience
- Condition survey and life-cycle experience and understanding
- Knowledge and experience in use of CAFM systems
