Your new companyOur client are a world-renowned specialist higher education provider with a prestigious campus in London. They are hiring an Estates Technical Services Manager on a permanent basis in London. Your new roleAs Estates Technical Services Manager you will lead on hard services delivery for the grade-listed university campus through a small in-house team as well as specialist service providers. Key duties will include:

  • Line management of small in-house maintenance team
  • Management of 3rd party service providers
  • Strategic planning for maintenance and minor refurb of the campus
  • Communicating with multiple key stakeholders and board groups
  • Ensuring an efficient and working campus that houses high-profile tutors and VIPs
  • Management of day-to-day repairs and PPMs
  • Liaising with projects team and supporting on minor refurbishments

What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in managing technical services and maintenance for a large commercial site, ideally within the public sector or higher education. You will also require:

  • Technical qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical etc.)
  • Line management experience
  • Experience in managing external FM service providers
  • Operational and strategic experience
  • Condition survey and life-cycle experience and understanding
  • Knowledge and experience in use of CAFM systems
