Location: Kings CrossSalary: £50,000Job Type: Full-time: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm or 7am - 4pm

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Working Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team. This role is a blend of practical, on-the-tools work and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers while also carrying out maintenance tasks yourself.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring high standards of work.

  • Undertake hands-on maintenance duties including (but not limited to) electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.

  • Plan and allocate daily work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources.

  • Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and managing work orders.

  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery.

  • Provide training and mentoring to team members.

  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues and ensure timely resolutions.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in facilities management

  • Strong hands-on technical skills (Electrical bias)

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.

  • Ability to balance on-the-tools work with administrative duties.

  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Full UK driving licence (if applicable).
