Client Service Associate

This role is crucial in supporting the Business Operations Unit (BOU) across various functions including lending to local authorities, managing deposits, and overseeing public sector funds. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the operations of the BOU, ensuring high-quality service delivery and meeting operational targets.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Operational Processing:
- Process loan and deposit applications in line with internal controls and terms.
- Manage the premature repayment of loans ensuring timely settlement of funds.
- Respond promptly to all stakeholder queries.
- Produce and distribute reports and statistics for both internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Support the team in advising on policy issues and preparing for meetings with stakeholders.
- Stakeholder/Relationship Management:
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to meet service requirements.
- Implement process improvements and monitor issues affecting public sector finance.
- Engage with counterparties to gather market intelligence and maintain strong working relationships.
- Business Delivery:
- Assist in maintaining and updating operational procedures.
- Ensure understanding and updating of business continuity arrangements for critical processes.
- Continuously seek process improvements and manage operational risks within the business change management framework.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least one year of relevant financial client service experience.
- Strong ability to communicate and influence, collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Focused on managing a quality service with excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate reports within tight deadlines.
- Desirable: Experience in business change and knowledge of financial markets; a relevant degree or qualification (IOC or IMC preferred).
