Chef de Partie

Polygon House Ltd is a company going through some exciting changes, The Rose and Crown which is located in the centre of Clapham old town is entering a regeneration period with a brand relaunch scheduled for early Spring and we have the brand new opening of The Ox located on Clapham high street.

We are seeking a dedicated CDP to join our esteemed team, led by our Head Chef with over 20 years experience and the GM who has over 10 years experience at 3-Michelin starred restaurants and 5* hotels in London. We are looking to drive the team and be ambitious in our approach to hospitality. Listed below are some basic details about the job role.


5 days a week, 7 shifts (3 single shifts, 2 doubles)

Christmas Day off

28 days of annual leave

Service Delivery

To supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of produce

according the restaurant standards.

Ensure full understanding of the functional administration of the

restaurant, i.e., docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food

labelling etc.

Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu, and be able to give a

detailed description of all dishes.

Compliance with the restaurant standards and menu specifications

Maintain stock rotation.

All tasks carried out in an efficient and timely manner to ensure the

smooth running of service.

To ensure the section is always maintained in a clean and tidy manner

and that hygiene and cleanliness policy are rigorously adhere to.

To ensure the section equipment is well maintained and handled.

Ensure maintenance issues are reported to the relevant parties.

Fully understand how the role contributes to the success of the

restaurant.

Build effective and constructive relationships.

Work collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals.


Learning and Development

Attend and pro-actively particulate in any training that you have been

assigned or requested for.

Continually strive to achieve personal goals and objectives.

Security, Health and Safety

To be fully conversant with all statutory requirements on H&S and all

aspects of the hotels H&S Policy: COSHH, Food Hygiene level 2 and

Manual Handling.

To implement rigorously all food safety policies and procedures.
