Based in the City of London, this prestigious site has an extremely busy hospitality department. The food produced here is of the highest quality and ranges from working lunches to canapés and sit down formal dinners. With the food being of Michelin standard, detail and presentation is essential.
As the Sous Chef, you will be
* Working as part of a team to produce fresh seasonal food at the highest level
* Supporting the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen
* Managing junior members of the team
* Involved in creating menus for both the staff dining as well as hospitality, fine dining and canapés
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, approx. 40 hours per week with some evenings as required. All overtime is paid at time and a half
You as the ideal candidate would be
* currently be at Sous Chef level with a proven career history in high end hospitality catering
* have a stable and progressive work history (min of 1 year in each place)
* have fine dining experience ideally within a Michelin star or Rosette restaurant or corporate fine dining
* a good team player as well as able to use initiative
* genuinely passionate about food and ingredients as well as up to date with trends and concepts
* manage handle multiple demands calmly and work well under pressure
* attentive to detail and presentation with flair and creativity
* able to communicate well with others and have strong organizational skills
* flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
