Our Public Sector Client is looking for an experienced Head of Information Governance

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Information Governance and Access Teams, providing leadership and the oversight of the operational delivery of the Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Information Governance functions
  • Implementing effective governance (in line with the relevant Government Functional Standards) around the organisation’s strategic change portfolio by leading the organisation’s Portfolio Management Office (PMO).
  • In conjunction with the Head of Technology and Operations, managing and maintain the quality assurance requirements and information for DSPT, ISO27001 certification and continued accreditation.
  • Acting as subject matter expert in the areas of programme risk and controls, driving continuous improvement, bringing best practice and innovative thinking into risk, transformation and assurance processes including methodologies.

The post holder will also be expected to support the CIO with the development and operation of the function including deputising for the CIO, where required, as well as contributing to the annual business planning cycle and/or periodic strategic reviews on behalf of the team.
