Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Home working with frequent travel to Central London

Organization: Manufacturing Trade Association

About the Role: Trade Association is seeking a dynamic and visionary CEO to lead the association and drive its strategic direction. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing future strategies.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of six staff members.
  • Managing the annual budget of approximately £1.5 million.
  • Expanding membership and championing the industry.
  • Representing the organisation in the media and public forums.
  • Navigating industry sustainability, circular economy, and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to internal working groups and Board sub-groups.
  • Propose and manage the annual financial budget.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and operational measures.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the industry.
  • Implement new strategies in response to changing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading non-profit associations.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing or packaging sector and public policy.
  • Strong communication skills and media handling experience.
  • Ability to build alliances and influence government policy.
  • Embrace change and drive the association's future strategy.
