Our client, a renowned beauty organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Trade Activation Manager to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis.

As the Assistant Trade Activation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for our client's brand. Collaborating closely with the commercial team, product team, and engagement team, you will ensure the seamless execution of our marketing initiatives. Your creativity and strategic approach will drive brand awareness, boost sales, and maximise customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the product team to translate the brand plan into winning strategies for your channel, leveraging key market insights.
  • Partner with account managers and customer activation managers to develop tailored plans for each retailer.
  • Monitor and enhance store performance, providing recommendations for opening or closing POS doors.
  • Lead pre-activation hype calls with retail and education teams.
  • Represent the organisation in crucial meetings with retailers.

- Monitoring and Accelerating Sell-Out:

  • Develop effective measurement, tracking, and reporting systems to evaluate the impact of activation initiatives.
  • Generate insights, optimise resource allocation, and drive ROI on investments.
  • Report on door productivity, taking the lead in devising strategies for high-performing doors.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team on promotions, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Skillfully manage SLOBS (stock loss, overstock, best-sellers).

- Creating Bespoke Activations for Your Channel:

  • Manage trade budgets for your channel, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • Collaborate with the brand and VM teams to brief and oversee the delivery of creative materials to retailers (online and offline).
  • Forecast, manage, and analyse trade tool inventory, including wrapping, testers, and samples.
  • Ensure flawless activation execution with a Day 1 go-live check.
  • Contribute to retailer strategy decks grounded in consumer and retail insights, working closely with NAMs and the wider brand marketing team.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of sell-out levers and retailer activity plans to drive sales.
  • Strong understanding of ROI analysis and the ability to optimise resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience in trade activation, brand strategy, and customer engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
