Business Development & Marketing - Law Firm - London / Hybrid - up to £70k + benefits

  • Generalist BD & Marketing Manager role in successful law firm

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and engaging individual, with demonstrable understanding of law firm Business Development and Marketing fundamentals,to join a leading City Law firm as a Business Development & Marketing Manager.Working closely with your assigned practice areas, you will execute marketing and business development plans, identify opportunities and provide high quality, proactive business development and marketing support.

With exceptional written skills, you will write, edit and update website pages, articles, blogs and client mailings, organise and coordinate award entries, draft and submit directory entries, and coordinate tenders, pitches and presentations.

Drawing on your excellent organisational capabilities, you will schedule, plan and manage events; and your day-to-day diligent nature will be happy to report on budgets and spend, activity and ROI.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development & Marketing Manager will include:

  • Identifying opportunities and insights and researching external associations, networks, events and marketing opportunities
  • Organising tenders, pitches and presentations
  • Planning and coordinating award entries and directory entries
  • Coordinating, updating and writing content for website pages, social media and client mailings
  • Organising social media calendar and producing digital media
  • Organising events
  • Identifying and coordinating external associations, networks and events
  • Coordinating budgets, costed plans and overall spend, producing regular reports
  • Producing digital media (planning, organising production and assisting with development)
  • Coordinating events - planning all logistics as required
  • Managing key account tracking and outreach
  • Driving participation in client feedback programmes
  • Attending meetings on a regular basis

What we’re looking for:

  • Sound experience in similar business development and marketing roles, preferably within a law practice (or professional services)
  • Experienced in providing full BD & marketing support to busy practice ares / large teams
  • Bids/tenders expertise with experience in producing successful tender and bids documentation to secure new business
  • Planning, budgeting and monitoring skills
  • Accurate, professional drafting, copywriting and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyse and present data to assist decision making
  • Excellent project management capabilities
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proactive time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • IT savvy with good MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced and deadline driven environment
