Business Development Manager
I'm currently working on an exciting Business Development Manager opportunity with a leading Global law firm within their disputes function. They're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager professional with experience within a disputes focused area to join them in this partner-facing role that offers the opportunity to engage in numerous international projects and collaborate with top-tier business development and marketing professionals across their global offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Planning & Execution: Work closely with practice heads and senior partners to develop and implement business development plans and budgets. Deliver meaningful market analysis to support strategic planning and monitor progress regularly.
- Client Targeting & Pitching: Develop and execute targeting initiatives and campaigns, manage pitches, and promote best practices. Provide support on new business opportunities and contribute to the firmwide client feedback programme.
- Marketing Campaigns & Thought Leadership: Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns and thought leadership projects to raise the firm's profile and generate opportunities to meet potential clients. Manage client events and produce client-facing materials.
- Internal Communication & Knowledge Sharing: Ensure efficient internal reporting and communication of business development activities. Maintain up-to-date business development information and run regular awareness presentations and training sessions.
- Team Management: Line management responsibility for one team member, with mentoring and support for other team members in the UK, EMEA, and the U.S. to strengthen the global team approach.
What's needed:
- Previous Business Development experience gained within legal or professional services
- Experience in a partner facing role having supported on international projects
- Ability to drive change and innovative ideas with partners and senior team members
