Business Development Manager - Bridging FinanceLondon / South East Reports To: Head of Business Development / Sales DirectorJob SummaryThe Business Development Manager for Bridging Finance will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company’s short-term lending portfolio. This individual will focus on sourcing new business, building and managing relationships with brokers, introducers, and other key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and solutions that meet client needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the bridging finance market, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in business development.Key Responsibilities1. Business Development and Client Acquisition• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for bridging finance products, both with brokers and direct clients.• Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality leads and actively manage the sales process from initial contact to closure.• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive growth and meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.2. Relationship Management• Build and nurture strong relationships with brokers, introducers, and other referral partners to maximize sales opportunities and ensure client satisfaction.• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the bridging finance process and ensuring a seamless, responsive experience.• Attend industry events, networking sessions, and other functions to promote the company’s bridging finance offerings and develop new connections.3. Market and Product Knowledge• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the bridging finance market, including key competitors, industry trends, and regulatory developments.• Develop expertise in the company’s bridging finance products and services, staying up to date with any changes to policies or processes.• Provide feedback to product and underwriting teams based on market needs, helping to enhance product offerings and improve service delivery.4. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination• Work closely with the underwriting, credit, and operations teams to ensure that deals are processed smoothly and efficiently.• Collaborate with marketing teams to create and deliver campaigns, presentations, and marketing materials to support business development efforts.• Regularly communicate with management and other departments on sales progress, market insights, and potential improvements to the bridging finance offering.5.
