Business Development Manager - Dispute ResolutionWe are excited to be working with a leading global law firm renowned for its excellence in providing business law advice. The firm operates across multiple jurisdictions, offering a comprehensive service to national and multinational corporations, financial institutions, and governments. The firm prides itself on its collaborative culture, diversity, and commitment to creating a supportive environment where all employees can thrive.They are keen to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Dispute Resolution team. This is a unique and varied role requiring excellent teamworking and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders across the firm.Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Identify and respond to specific challenges and opportunities within the Dispute Resolution practice. Develop and execute a focused marketing and business development strategy to strengthen client relationships, target new work, and enhance the firm's global reputation.
  • Proposal Management: Collaborate with lawyers to compose and manage compelling proposals, including pitches and RFP responses, often with a fast turnaround.
  • Content and Campaigns: Produce and manage practice group content, campaigns, events, and directory submissions to increase client engagement and enhance the personal brands of leading practitioners.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders and Marketing & Business Development (MBD) colleagues to foster a 'one team' global mindset.
  • Technology Utilisation: Leverage technology, such as Salesforce, to analyse trends, identify opportunities, track key relationships, and measure the success of initiatives.

What's needed:

  • Previous Business Development experience gained within legal or wider professional services such as accountancy or consultancy
  • The ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the firm
  • Enthusiasm around driving business plans and helping partners achieve growth across their client portfolios
  • Strong commercial awareness across their key areas
