About the role of Business Development Manager
Joining an ambitious, hungry sales team based in the heart of Central London, our client is looking to add to their sales team by hiring for a Business Development Manager.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be:
- Selling subscriptions for our client’s award-winning online economic, forecasting, data and research platform to senior level decision makers within buy side and sell side clients across EMEA including Investment Banks, Fund Managers, Wealth Managers, Asset Managers, Government Agencies and Pension Funds
- Utilising your business acumen & sales skills, you will be responsible for the full sales business cycle, from identifying key targets, delivering online demonstrations to matching their focus with our client’s services, through to pricing negotiations & closing.
- You will become an integral part of the sales team, aiming to maximise opportunities within your territory to further grow your client base
- In addition to your office-based sales responsibilities, you may occasionally be expected to attend external meetings events to see clients for sales meetings
Commission is uncapped (and very attractive!) and you will get paid out on every deal you close making the £120,000 OTE very realistic!

About You
- 3+ years demonstrable experience in subscription sales i.e., Business Intelligence, Business Information, Market Data or Software / SAAS Sales
- Experience of selling into Financial Institutions (Buyside or Sell Side)
- Degree in Economics is preferable but not essential
- Exceptional prospecting and closing skills
- Experience of presenting face to face and via online demonstrations
- Knowledge of financial service markets or derivatives would be a bonus
- Pipeline building, management and forecasting
