I cannot speak highly enough of my client (a B2B energy company) – I have been working with them since they were a start-up and I have watched them grow from strength to strength ever since. They promote their staff from within (I’ve seen my candidates receive more than one promotion in their time there) and will always encourage and support.

I am currently assisting them in the recruitment for a Business Development Manager to join their existing direct sales team of 6. This is a brand-new position within the team – they continue to grow as a company and have done incredibly well since they were created by their parent company in 2016. Working in the direct sales teams means that you will be actively targeting companies directly to identify new business opportunities.

Sales experience with a UK Energy Supplier is essential. The salary is competitive, paying from £50,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience plus a bonus structure (last year, the average bonus received by the team was 26% of their basic salary).

- Develop a growth strategy prioritizing financial gains and customer satisfaction.- Conduct research to identify new business opportunities, exploring markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.- Establish contacts within organizations and generate leads through cold calling.- Coordinate business meetings with potential clients.- Showcase and promote the company's products/services, aligning with clients' objectives.- Offer reliable feedback and pre-sales support.- Initiate and cultivate initial relationships with new prospects.- Contribute to the planning of sales campaigns.- Establish and manage a comprehensive sales pipeline.
