Role Description:

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the Team of one of our clients based in London. Our client is one of the City's premier commercial cleaning companies with over 30 years of experience in providing high quality cleaning services to customers throughout London. As Business Development Manager, you will identify sales leads, attend site visits and compile bespoke sales proposals, maintaining excellent working relationships with new and existing customers. This role offers the chance to work with a forward-thinking organisation, where you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of the business. Responsibilities:

  • Familiarise yourself with the company's vision and mission seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives

  • Conduct market research and identify potential clients

  • Self generate appointments in order to create sales opportunities

  • Attend site visits to survey premises and cultivate client relationships

  • Produce bespoke client proposals detailing specifications, costs and T's & C's

  • Collate and maintain client and proposal information in the CRM database

  • Close opportunities by obtaining signed contracts from prospective clients

  • Complete new contract summary sheet and handover all details to operations

  • Record all sales activities, statistics on win ratios, pipeline details and other supporting information to enable strategies to be planned accordingly

  • Ensure all proposals and cost calculations result in deliverable and profitable solutions

  • Work closely with staff across departments to facilitate efficient service delivery and accurate billing and cash collections

  • Quote for one off and deep clean opportunities in addition to contractual opportunities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines

  • Identify new business tender opportunities and complete as per requirements

  • Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material and other documents as required

  • Constantly look for new and innovate solutions to enhance our offering

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff and clients

Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Excel)

  • Experience with having used ERP / CRM systems

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure

  • Ability to operate in a service driven culture, continuously challenging and seeking to be better

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Strong organisation and project management skills

  • Clear DBS

  • Committed team player

  • Trustworthy, diligent and self-motivated

  • High level of inputting accuracy

  • Able to organise own workload and to reprioritise at short notice in order to meet deadlines

  • Able to break down processes into their constituent parts, identify problems and suggest solutions

  • You will have at least two years' experience selling commercial/office cleaning contracts

  • Proven track record of winning £1m+ PA in self-generated new business sales

  • Capability and drive to undertake the full sales process from lead generation, through site survey, financial metrics, proposal creation, to contract signature and daily recording on CRM system of all activity

  • Clean driving licence
