Key Responsibilities of the Opportunity:-

Business Development
  • Undertake the targeted number of contacts per month (face to face and calls) within named accounts.
  • Utilise networks, relevant corporate finance news, information systems to identify potential contacts
  • Develop and maintain new validated and qualified contacts in areas of PE, Corporate Finance and CFO community, aligned with Company strategy.
  • Manage designated accounts.
  • Record prospecting activity within the designated CRM system(s) in line with company GDPR policy.
  • Maintain and develop the CRM, ensuring information is updated in a timely manner with regular reviews of grading.
  • Plan, arrange, confirm and lead sales meetings, manage own diary.
  • Ensure appropriate company individuals attend sales meetings and that they are adequately briefed in advance.
  • Keep the wider team up to date with recent and planned meetings and opportunities.
  • Undertake background research on individuals and companies prior to meeting with them to identify best means of approach, finding appropriate deal credentials or other proprietary marketing material to help support your approach.
  • Construct well-worded emails or letters, specifically relevant to the contact.
  • Scope new opportunities in conjunction with the senior delivery team.
  • Oversee the engagement process, working with the senior delivery team to delivery timely and appropriate proposals and engagement letters.
  • Obtain customer satisfaction feedback post project completion.
  • Work closely with other members of the Business Development team to maximise and coordinate activity and effectiveness of each contact for the benefit of the wider business.
  • Position the organisation at appropriate network events.
  • Contribute to developing the business development strategy to support the overall business objectives and goals.
Organisational
  • Participate in internal meetings and activities
  • Maintain up to date technical skills and qualifications
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with administrative requirements
  • Operate as an effective team member within a relatively flat structure

Personal Specification

  • 5+ years' experience of business development, with knowledge of Professional Services / Financial Services / Private Equity / Investment Banking
  • Successful track record in delivering to a target
  • Consultancy and or advisory experience desired
