This role is an integral part of a large Public Sector Commercial Services division. In 2020, the Commercial Function revised its operating model, establishing the pillars which have overall accountability for activity covering the commercial life cycle, as well as relevant Business Partnering responsibilities across the wider business.
This role supports all aspects of Income Management within the Commercial Services team. This is an exciting and varied role, which will give you the chance to support all aspects of the commercial life cycle with, including sourcing of goods and services as well as contracting with third parties to deliver income generation.

Experience
- Highly effective communicator who can work with a range of stakeholders and senior managers and develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships with internal 'service providers' and external third party 'customers'. As an advisor to the wider organisation, the ability to deliver guidance and expertise in an effective manner is essential.
- Able to work with autonomy within a defined area of work, implementing policies and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with enquiries, requests, complaints/escalations in a professional and proactive manner.
- Strong accuracy and analytical skills, including manipulation of data in systems such as Excel.
- Commercially astute with demonstrable experience of applying the principles of value for money.
- Minimum of 6 months experience undertaking similar activities within a commercial or finance function or demonstrable experience of applying the principles of value for money
- Basic understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies, income generation and income management as well as relevant Public Sector processes, policy and governance
- Practical experience of implementing contracts, delivering services under contracts, preparing charges for contracts and understanding the risk implications of working contracts.
- Experience of applying the principles of brand protection and/or risk management.
