An award-winning firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors with a strong, market leading international alliance is seeking a highly motivated Marketing & Business Development Manager to provide support for their service lines.

The firm has experienced sustained and organic growth over the last six years and are now poised to embark on an ambitious programme of investment, development and growth. This significant investment programme, during the cycle of the current strategy, will allow the firm to develop into a market leading independent firm, acting for large or scaling, sophisticated clients. Working closely with Partners and Directors, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving the firmwide growth strategy through the development and delivery of the services marketing and business development strategy, as well as acting as the lead contact for key service lines including Tax, Outsourcing and Transaction Advisory Services. This role will have both line manager responsibilities for a Marketing and BD Executive and budget management responsibility including an assessment of cost versus benefit of all activity to ensure that resources are used in an efficient and effective manner. The Marketing & Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role which is both strategic and hands on. You will develop a comprehensive marketing and BD plan for all key service lines to support the go to market strategy, maximising opportunities from regulatory and market changes, ensuring that all activity has a clear objective to identify sales leads and driving the identification and progression of sales opportunities within the current client base. On the marketing side, you will work alongside the other Marketing Managers and the Head of Marketing and Business Development to ensure collaboration across all marketing activity. The role holder will be tasked with the management of key service line sponsorships and events and will also be expected to pitch relevant and topical themes for the events and communication schedule.
Strategic, commercially aware, articulate and able to communicate and build relationships with all levels, externally and internally, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a similar role within a professional services or partnership environment, to include demonstrable success in developing and delivering campaigns and events and managing sponsorships. The Marketing & Business Development Manager will need to be confident, resilient and assertive and will thrive working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Any previous experience of line management within an accountancy firm will be highly advantageous.
