A top ranked specialist law firm in London, renowned for their work in business crime and civil litigation and with an impressive, global client base, requires an experienced marketing and business development professional to provide support enabling the delivery of the firm's plans for growth.

The Marketing and Business Development department is undergoing an exciting phase of evolution and the firm are now looking to bolster the team with the addition of a new Marketing & Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Business Development, you will play a leading role in the development and implementation of an ambitious marketing and business development plan which is at the heart of the firm's business strategy. Advising Partners and Associates on the best approach to achieve their business and marketing objectives, you will enjoy a broad role covering the marketing and BD mix. The role holder will be expected to take ownership of comprehensive and multi-channel marketing campaigns, from inception through project planning to delivery, measurement and evaluation. Deploying and developing the firm’s marketing technology including CRM, website and events software, you will take a lead on the management of the firms’ social media channels and will be tasked with copy-editing including writing, reviewing and editing content for various marketing channels, ensuring consistency with the firm's tone of voice. Briefing and managing external agencies to produce high quality creative campaigns that ensure the application of the firm’s brand guidelines and delivery of projects to deadline will represent an important focus of the role. The successful applicant will also be expected to over-see legal directories and awards submissions and develop and manage in-house marketing training and inductions.
A pragmatic, self-motivated and flexible team player, the ideal candidate will be either CIM qualified, studying towards CIM or willing to work towards qualification. You will need proven marketing or business development experience gained in a law firm or professional service organisation to include a track record of managing successful marketing campaigns from conception to implementation and measurement and previous experience in planning and managing digital and social media and delivering online and in-person events. Experience of CMS and CRM systems, social media platforms, email marketing tools and marketing analytics systems will also be essential. In addition, the Marketing & Business Development Manager will be confident and organised with a robust personality, outstanding communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels.
