Business Development & Marketing Manager - City Law Firm - London / hybrid - up to £65k + benefits

  • Marketing qualifications is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience gained in a legal environment is preferable (professional services organisation will be considered)

We have an exciting contract opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual, with demonstrable understanding of Business Development and Marketing fundamentals,to join a leading City Law firm as a Business Development & Marketing Manager.Working closely with your assigned practice areas, you will execute marketing and bd plans, identify opportunities and overall build strategy and will provide high quality, proactive business development and marketing support.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development & Marketing Manager will include:

  • Organising costed plans for service offerings across practice
  • Overseeing and reporting on budgets and spend
  • Reporting on activity and ROI on initiatives and trends
  • Building strategy and executing business development and marketing plans
  • Identifying opportunities and insights from practices, competitors and the market
  • Attending fee earner and partner meetings on a regular basis
  • Planning and coordinating award entries, directory entries, website pages, social media calendar and client mailings
  • Producing digital media (planning, organising production and assisting with development)
  • Coordinating events - planning all logistics as required
  • Coordinating pitches and presentations
  • Liaising with the communications team to plan and measure PR / media activity
  • Producing and organising client mailings
  • Managing key account tracking and outreach
  • Driving participation in client feedback programme and report on findings

What we’re looking for:

  • Sound experience in similar business development and marketing roles, preferably within a law practice (or professional services)
  • Experienced in providing full BD & marketing support to practice areas / large teams
  • Planning, budgeting and monitoring skills
  • Accurate, professional drafting, copywriting and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in producing tenders and associated documentation / research (highly desirable)
  • Ability to analyse and present data to assist decision making
  • Excellent project management capabilities
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proactive time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • IT savvy with good MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced and deadline driven environment
