Due to the company expanding its team, we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Sales Executive / B2B Sales Development Representativewho has a consultative / solutions-driven background with experience managing the full end-to-end sales life cycle from lead generation / customer research, prospecting calls, assessing needs, sending proposals, negotiating and closing deals.

Working as a Senior Sales Executive / B2B Sales Development Representative you will drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional service to your clients. In this role, you will own the end-to-end sales process, from initial client engagement to deal closure. The position is ideal for a highly experienced salesperson with a proven track record in consultative sales and a strong ability to work across various sectors. Project-based sales experience is highly desirable.

As the Senior Sales Executive / B2B Sales Development Representative you will ideally have extensive experience in solution-driven sales, with expertise in industries such as grant funding consultancy, bid writing consultancy, or R&D tax services. Your ability to communicate complex solutions, tailor them to diverse client needs, and build long-term relationships will be critical to your success.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Senior Sales Executive / B2B Sales Development Representative include:

  • Conduct initial consultation calls to qualify leads, assess needs, and secure new clients
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Deliver engaging solutions that effectively communicate the value of the company’s services
  • Discuss high-level projects with clients at academic levels
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, including negotiating contracts and closing deals
  • Maintain detailed CRM records to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions
  • Provide feedback on sales performance and share insights with the management team
  • Engage in targeted outreach activities to build and expand the client base
  • Support partnership relations and other sales-related business development efforts as needed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, with consistent achievement of sales targets
  • Entrepreneurial background e.g. from experience in a key role in a start-up or scale-up, or running your own business
  • Experience across multiple sectors and in project-based sales
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify and address client needs effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing high-value deals
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid or remote setting
  • Background in grant funding, bid writing consultancy, or R&D tax services is advantageous but not essential
