Senior Sales - Key & Strategic Pharma Accounts

Salary: competitive depending on experience plus good bonus

Location: hybrid (2 days in office perm)

Working for the go-to name in pharmaceutical information and a company that is partner to some of the largest organisations selling within the UK therapeutics space. Looking to continue the growth of the organisation they are recruiting for a Senior Strategic Account Manager to add revenue streams from the existing customers along with looking to target and win new customers (domestically and internationally).

As the Senior Strategic Account Manager you will take responsibility for a portfolio of their key and strategic accounts to manage customer relations and look to add value to the organisation but identifying and selling enhanced and additional products and services.

This will include:

  • Setting and delivering Account Plans for your territory; to identify the priority and growth accounts and delivery on targets
  • Utilise x- & up- selling skills; hunting for new business within existing accounts to promote value add platforms and international collaborations
  • Build value through developing relationships with existing customers, regular on-site/virtual meetings to identify performance, wants and needs and provide tailored solutions to add value
  • Be aware of the entire market; identifying and targeting opportunities to win new accounts and be aware on new companies looking to entre the UK pharmaceutical space
  • Regularly review account performance and customer satisfaction; continually looking for feedback and improve engagement and exceed customer expectations
  • Be aware of competitor and market trends; identify new product opportunities/innovations and gaps in the market and feedback to product development teams

The successful candidate is expected to have:

  • Several years current experience selling SaaS offerings to the UK Pharma, Biotech or associated markets.
  • Proven recent background managing big Pharma/Biotech accounts
  • Proven experience hunting for and winning new business for alternate revenue streams within existing big-pharma accounts
  • Able to build strong customer relations across very large and diverse customers with a track-record of using this to identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Good working knowledge of SaaS based life science products and services
  • Degree qualified in Life Science/Pharma related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident presenter and networker
  • Fluent in English
  • Full UK driving licence

This is a home office based role with the successful candidate able to get to a SE England based Head Office 1-2 days per week
