Some responsibilities of an SEO Business Director include:
- Developing SEO strategy: Collaborating with the Head of SEO to create and execute SEO strategies that drive results
- Leading the SEO team: Mentoring and supporting SEO Account Directors and their teams
- Managing client relationships: Working closely with clients and being their main point of contact for SEO
- Driving innovation: Being involved in the development of new SEO services
- Leading new business pitches: Taking the lead on SEO and organic pitches
- Reporting on performance: Monitoring and analysing search engine performance and trends, and reporting SEO metrics to stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO.
- Confidence in building and developing relationships with clients and understanding best how to meet their SEO needs.
- Pitch experience required
- Well-rounded SEO skills: technical SEO, on-page, content creation and link building.
- Proficiency in technical and content SEO
- Experience managing SEO teams
