Our client is a fast-growing leader in the iGaming and prize draw industry, delivering innovative, engaging, and customer-focused experiences to a global audience. Scaling rapidly and seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence, optimise performance, and support our ambitious growth goals.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic COO to oversee day-to-day operations, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless execution of our business strategy. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in people management, performance marketing, technology, and customer experience to enhance operational efficiency, boost player engagement, and maximize profitability in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee all operational functions, including marketing, technology, customer support, and compliance, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture while managing talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Performance Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute data-driven campaigns that optimize customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Technology Oversight: Partner with the CTO/tech team to ensure our platforms (web, mobile, backend systems) are scalable, secure, and optimised for growth in the iGaming and prize draw space.
  • Customer Experience (CX): Champion a customer-first approach, driving initiatives to enhance user satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement across all touchpoints.
  • Financial & Strategic Planning: Work closely with the CEO and CFO to develop budgets, forecasts, and operational strategies that support aggressive growth targets.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., gambling licenses, data protection laws) and implement robust risk mitigation strategies.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement scalable systems to support rapid expansion.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between departments and external partners (e.g., vendors, regulators, payment providers) to drive cohesive execution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience (8 years) in a senior operational leadership role, ideally as a COO or similar, within a high-growth iGaming, gaming, or digital entertainment business.
  • Strong background in people management, with a track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing, including paid acquisition (PPC, social, affiliates), CRM, and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar).
  • Solid grasp of technology, particularly in overseeing scalable platforms, APIs, and integrations in a tech-driven industry (experience with iGaming tech stacks is a plus).
  • Demonstrated success in improving customer experience, with knowledge of UX principles, customer support operations, and retention strategies.
  • Familiarity with the iGaming and prize draw regulatory landscape (e.g., UKGC, MGA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using KPIs and metrics to inform decisions and drive results.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • A strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapts quickly to change. A leader passionate about gaming, innovation, and delivering exceptional experiences to customers.
