We are currently partnering with a national federated Charity, who are recruiting for a Governance Officer to join their growing team on a temporary six month basis. 

This is a full-time position with a negotiable rate and the start date is the beginning of May.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with the annual calendar of Board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation, commissioning and collating meeting papers and minute-taking
  • Advising the Governance Manager on statutory deadlines and maintain accurate trustee records, archives of governance documents
  • Overseeing trustee and committee member recruitment, maintain a skills audit, manage inductions, and facilitate performance reviews by coordinating feedback collection and scheduling meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records of trustee changes, submit notifications to regulators (e.g., Charity Commission)
  • Providing confidential administrative services, manage the Governance inbox, and maintain private and shared documents to contribute to the organisation’s effective governance operations

Experience:

  • Governance administration and managing governance compliance processes
  • Preparing Board packs and other governance documents
  • Improving administrative systems and processes to make them more efficient and effective

Working hours:

  • Full time
  • 2 days minimum hybrid working
