The Role

You’ll be joining a small but dynamic and growing team of experienced professionals dedicated to revolutionising the way business development is done. Our client is looking to hire a leader who can build out their technology team and who can hit their business plan milestones for 2025.

This is an opportunity to shape the technical vision and lead a passionate team in developing and scaling the platform.

Beyond a level of relevant, demonstrable technical experience, the CEO & Founder is looking for a tech partner who is committed, driven, hard-working, motivated, and passionate, providing a complimentary fit to their business and market acumen.

Role Requirements

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Define and execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring the timely delivery of scalable and secure solutions.
  • Oversee system architecture, infrastructure, and security (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 compliance).
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in development, security, and product management.
  • Collaborate with other business functions to ensure that the platform meets market needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years hands on professional experience in backend development.
  • Experience programming with at least 2 software programming languages.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Team Lead or Manager in a SaaS or tech-focused company.
  • BSc. in Maths or Computing (or other related field) desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of backend technology with an interest in delivering high quality, easy to use UI/apps.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and scalable architecture.
  • Deep understanding of security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Proficiency in AI/ML technologies and how they can be applied to business solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, API development, and integrating third-party services.
  • Experience with iXBRL is advantageous but not essential
  • Startup experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of the M&A ecosystem or interest in finance is desirable
