Job: Technical Director (Remote)

  • Salary to £120k
  • Predominately remote with occasional requirement to visit London Euston offices

This role is with the world’s first community-fed green energy company. They are building the largest network of interconnected distributed energy resources. This decentralised grid sits on top of the existing grid and connects distributed energy sources using blockchain technology. Their pioneering IoT and carbon neutral blockchain technology delivers real-time assurance, precise monitoring, and indisputable verification for carbon offsetting and social impact. It ensures complete transparency and accuracy and will be a major contributor to realising community energy, reducing energy poverty and bringing an effective impact to combating climate change.

Experience

7+ years in a commercially focused technical management role.

Experience working in a scale up environment with shifting priorities and fast paced environment. Experience of building and managing high performing cross functional teams.

A track record of delivering commercial success.

Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks (ISO27001) would be advantageous.

Preferably working in the energy/utilities sector (this isn’t essential)

Responsibilities - Technology & Product Ownership

Working closely with Chief Product and Technology Officer and Senior Leadership Team to shape commercial objectives of their business

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Manage and continue to scale high performing engineering and product teams across multiple product verticals

Evolve and grow team culture in line with the core values of their business

Design and deliver technical and product strategies to support commercial objectives

Design and deliver relevant KPIs to drive constant iterative improvement

Deliver technical product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, and presentations for prospective clients.

Help define their growth strategy via customer engagement, growth loops and network effects

Help define and refine value propositions, pricing models, and go-to-market (GtM) strategy.

Stay informed on energy, carbon markets, and regulatory trends to shape product and technology strategy.

Manage technology and product budgets
