A versatile Civil/Structural Design Engineer needed by this medium sized Engineering Consultancy based in Wimbledon.
The company provide multi-disciplinary services to the Bridges, Commercial & Retail, Heritage, Infrastructure, Rail, Residential and Temporary Works sectors.
You will be doing a varied mixture of structural and civil projects, mainly rail projects or rail related; therefore experience in the rail sector would be advantageous. You will need to be able to juggle lots of projects at once in a fast paced, work environment.
Types of work could include:
Deep and shallow foundation design
Retaining Wall Design
Design of gantries, platform extensions, lift shafts, new stations and all associated structures
Temporary works design
Design of embankments
Design of car parks
Geotechnical investigations
Salvage of historical elements
Demolition strategies
Culvert and pipe design
Station refurbishments
Drainage design
Bridge design, buildings design, inspection and assessments
The majority of your experience should be in civil/infrastructure projects rather than purely buildings structures. You should also have excellent communication skills as this is a client facing role and will include report writing.
