Civil Project Engineer -- Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil& Gas

 

The Project Engineer's (PE) primary role will be to support the Project Manager (PM) to deliver the Civil works.

 

This role is civil based and involves supporting the Project Manager in delivery of the time critical works to ensure that the relevant refinery infrastructure is relocated / prepared to enable transfer to the developers engaged in construction of the new facilities.

 

The PE will be required to support the delivery of the project safely and to agreed quality, cost and schedule targets.

 

The PE will be responsible for ensuring that activities identified as part of the Project Assurance Plan are carried out, and for communicating with key stakeholders whether internal or external.

 

 

The successful candidate will:

 

- Be responsible for supporting Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule activities required on the project to ensure timely completion of all works.

- Be working within a team and will therefore need to show leadership qualities, both within the department and generally across site.

- Be required to maintain effective communication between relevant internal / external parties including PU, Engineering, Construction and Procurement / Contracts.

- Support the Project Assurance process.

- Work with the PM to ensure relevant safety / design reviews are carried out as required, and that any issues raised are closed out in a timely manner,

- Support development of Project schedules.

- Where required make engineering decisions and support their implementation on the project.

- Ensure timely delivery of engineering work which is compliant with the requirements of the project.

- Support the PM in delivering the agreed execution strategies for engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, commissioning etc. with the relevant internal / external parties.

- Identify opportunities for improvement / innovation and drive continuous improvement within the project
