Plumbing Pump Engineer

Location: London (Some of the properties outside the M25 but will be booked in to visit)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm (8hr per day)

The Role

The company are seeking a highly organised and professional Plumbing Pump Engineer to join their clients team.

As the first point of contact for the company, you will play a crucial role in their clients engineering industry. The client is a family-owned construction and property maintenance business proudly serving the heart of Central London for over 17 years.

You will assist in the operation of all aspects of the pumps trade; installs, maintenance, breakdown and reactive call outs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective running of the assigned jobs
  • Gain experience in reactive calls
  • Gain experience in planned maintenance (pumps)
  • Work alongside members of your own team, assisting in the operation of works
  • Achieve levels of learning to develop role
  • Assist in the recording of calls to the logbook on various sites
  • Work with the Line Manager to keep stock levels accurate
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Liaise with the supervisor to ensure expectations are managed and met plus the maintenance and monitoring of equipment
  • Optimise equipment through troubleshooting and repairs
  • Respond to service requests and breakdowns
  • Flexibility for overnight stays as needed
  • Log work progress in detailed site reports
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as a positive company representative
  • Drive the company van and maintain it with necessary tools and supplies needed
  • Manage petty cash and process payments efficiently

Key Essentials

  • Plumbing Qualifications, Core Plumbing Assessment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowing the key essentials of being a pump service engineer
  • On site experience – 1st and 2nd fix
  • Work with all aspects of pumps installs, maintenance and reactive calls
  • Servicing, installation, and commissioning of a variety of pumping equipment including Pumps, Pumping Stations, Pump Kiosks / Control Panels, Valves, and Pipework
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a pump service engineer
