Principal Geotechnical Seismic Engineer | London or UK wide

I am looking for a Principal Geotechnical Seismic Engineer with extensive experience in geo-seismic and soil structure interaction to work some of the most interesting and challenging projects the world has to offer.

As a Principal Geotechnical Seismic Engineer, you will join a global leading design consultancy, sat within a specialist Geo-seismic team supporting the wider ground engineering discipline across the UK and globe.

The position offers the chance to work with industry leaders, helping take a design lead on high profile projects across nuclear, water, tunnels and other world significant infrastructure projects. Some projects including Sizewell C and the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project plus EPR2, the next generation of nuclear reactors.

Principal Geotechnical Seismic Engineer - Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • MSc and/or PhD in Geotechnical or Seismic Engineering
  • Experience in planning, managing, supervising, and interpreting ground investigations and laboratory test results.
  • Strong understanding of Geotechnics and dynamic loading.
  • Knowledge in site response analysis and liquefaction assessment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard numerical modelling software such as FLAC, LS-DYNA, and PLAXIS modelling dynamic soil-structure interaction problems.
  • Interest in the application of advanced soil constitutive models under cyclic loading conditions
  • Experience supporting, managing and developing junior team members.
