Fire Engineer
Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid Working)

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join its expert team, specialising in fire safety, compliance, and remediation across high-risk buildings in residential, mixed-use, and education sectors.
The Role
The Fire Engineer will conduct site inspections, review fire risk assessments, and analyse external wall investigation data. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing fire safety risks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Providing guidance on fire strategy, interim measures, mitigations, and remediation actions.
- Supporting faade and cladding projects across the UK.
- Collaborating with project and cost management teams on remediation projects.
- Producing high-quality reports and documentation.
Location & Flexible Working
The role covers England and Wales, with the successful candidate based in London or Manchester. Hybrid working and site visits are required.
The Candidate
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation, regulations, and guidance, including:
- Building Safety Act 2022
- Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- PAS 9980 and related standards
- Higher education qualification in engineering or fire safety.
- Chartered or Incorporated Fire Engineer status or equivalent membership of a professional body.
- Strong understanding of building faades, fire risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
